Something about the number crunching makes my heart-boner diamonds but I've yet to distill the essence of it that's got just enough fiddling and micromanagement to enjoy without bogging the new experience down in mechanics that end up restricting the experience in unsatisfactory ways. That, and I kinda want to play a game very much like this one, but still not quite this. >wants to bring Companions along when at all possible Even with a preference for crafting Builds, most Jumpers end up with some dissonant-if-powerful combat Builds where they really don't need them. Probably still have some unresolved anger in me somewhere, not quite Hatred/Postal levels but there might be something worth investigating there.

Some are technically found in world but given buffs or conveniences in the item section, others are just made up based on things in the world or mentioned in the lore. >Random Demon Pets, unless you take that effort yourself >Indictments has thematic buffs over normal one >Covenant of Artoria in the item section is buffed >Old Witch's Ring won't be a universal translator >Sunlight Medals don't ordinarily multiply on their own >Rite of Kindling is based on something, unlikely to exist as in the item section >Black Seperation Crystal doesn't work on the same scale in later worlds >Evil Eye is based on some stuff mentioned in item lore rather than actually existing in-world >The replenishing resource items such as the Titanite, the Alluring Skulls, etc I was drumming up some houserules for a "no anon you are the Companion" chain and I thought I'd ask you guys if maybe this was too much. That doesn't stop them from having no idea what they're doing, so you should hope they trust you. >The Jumper you're partnered with is probably not a minmaxer, but assuming they're choosing their builds at all they won't intentionally wreck themselves. >However, even if the Jumper knows about and has access to the documents (which they probably do not), any build decisions are theirs and theirs alone. >You can advise them on what to do while in the Jumps as best you can with the knowledge and abilities on tap for the both of you. You can, on the other hand, go back to your home if they succeed. >If that Jumper fails their Chain, you go back to their home world, not yours.

Build a Jumper from that universe (so no Drop-ins) with the full budget, then use the Companion option to build yourself.

>Pick a jump that offers at least one free Companion. Instead you're thrown in as a brand-new Jumper's first companion.
